Flanders Fire Dept. Open House - this weekend!

Flanders Fire Department opens its doors to the public as it seeks additional volunteers

Like many Fire Departments in Connecticut, the Flanders Fire Dept. in East Lyme is made up of both paid firefighters and volunteers. Many people think about getting involved, but aren't sure if it's for them, or where to start.

That's one of the reasons why the Flanders Fire Department is opening its doors to the public this weekend when they hold an Open House on Saturday April 9, from 10:00AM to 2:00PM at the Fire House located at 151 Boston Post Rd. in East Lyme.

Visitors will be able to meet members of the Fire Department, take a look at some of the vehicles and equipment that the firefighters use, and talk about how they can get involved.

The event is open to all members of the public, and the Flanders Fire Dept. look forward to meeting the local community at this weekends event.
