Main Street at Pennsylvania Avenue in East Lyme Opened [UPDATE]
The Lyme-area is also under a flood warning until 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10.

New London County is under a flood advisory until 5:30 p.m. Thursday and a flash flood watch until Friday, Sept. 11, at 6 a.m.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is reporting flooding on I-95 southbound, between exits 83 and 81. East Lyme’s Main Street at Pennsylvania Avenue was closed due to flooding but has since reopened, according to East Lyme police.
“If you see a road closed due to standing water please don’t attempt to drive through it, turn around and find alternate route,” police said.

A car accident was reported on I-95 southbound is East Lyme, according to the CT DOT. The closure impacts I-95 SB between Exits 73 and 72.
A Hazardous Weather Outlook was issued for the entire state due to possible flooding. Towns and cities state-wide are expected to receive more than an inch of rain, sorely needed due to an absence of precipitation for the past two weeks.
