- The testing is open to anyone
- You do not need to be experiencing symptoms
- A doctor’s order is not required
- Children can be tested providing a parent/guardian is there is provide consent
- There is no fee and your insurance will not be billed
- Pre-registration is not required
- Results typically take 24-72 hours depending on the testing provider.

The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test that will be used detects disease by looking for traces of the virus’ genetic material on a sample most often collected via a nose or throat swab. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) considers PCR tests the “gold standard” of COVID-19 testing.
