Golf Driving Range Reopens With New Name In Old Lyme: Report

Located on Shore Road, the range opened for the season on May 1.

OLD LYME, CT — The former Cherrystones Driving Range in Old Lyme reopened recently as the 100 Acres Driving Range, a name that pays tribute to the range's history, reports The Day.

The golf practice range was reopened by Mark Erwin - an assistant golf pro at Wethersfield Country Club - and his family, who changed its name back to its original name from the 1930s. The Cherrystones name was introduced in the mid-1980s and remained until last year when the range didn't open.

Located on Shore Road, the range opened for the season on May 1, and offers golf lessons and three pricing tiers for buckets of balls to hit.
