Groton Man Charged In East Lyme Police Pursuit

A Groton man is accused of leading police on a chase in February.

EAST LYME, CT — A Groton man has been charged on accusations that he led police on a chase, according to a statement from East Lyme police. Groton Town police stopped the man for a motor vehicle violation Friday at 8:40 p.m.

The man was the subject of an active arrest warrant out of East Lyme related to an investigation into a police pursuit that occurred in February.

He was taken into custody by Groton Town police and transferred to East Lyme. He was charged with failure to display plates, operating a motor vehicle under a suspended license, traveling unreasonably fast, and engaging police in a pursuit.

He was later released on $15,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court April 14.
