Gun Found In Diaper Bag At East Lyme Daycare: Reports
A staff member at an East Lyme daycare found a handgun in a diaper bag dropped off with a child last week.
EAST LYME, CT — Police responded to a daycare last week when staff found a loaded gun in a diaper bag that had been dropped off with a child at Ballestrini’s Child Care Center, according to The Hartford Courant.
The parents involved in the incident said it was a mix-up of which bag should have been brought to the West Main Street daycare.
Childcare center staff found the gun, secured the bag, then called police. Police responded to the childcare center and took possession of the Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm handgun, according to NBC CT.
