Here's Where Niantic Ranks Among Top Places To Live In CT For 2023

NIANTIC, CT — According to Rankings website Niche.com, Niantic is the No. 44 best place to live in Connecticut.

Niche.com gives Niantic an overall "A" score, and Niantic receives an "A+" for its public schools and an "A" for being good for families. Niantic was ranked #3 in Best Places to Raise a Family in New London County, according to Niche.com.

According to Niche.com, the median average home value in Niantic is $311,300 and the rent is $1,397 a month. The median household income in Niantic is $77,270.

West Hartford was once again deemed to be the No. 1 place to live in CT for 2023. The Hartford suburb garnered an overall "A+" grade, and copped top marks for its public schools, family friendliness, and the health/fitness of its residents. It was also No. 1 on the list of the best suburbs in the state.

For its scores, Niche drew upon data from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey, the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Uniformed Crime Report, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climatic Data Center, the US Department of Agriculture's Food Environment Atlas and other sources, as well as millions of resident reviews.
