Home Health Aid Stole $2,000 from Old Lyme Patient: Police

The suspect has been charged with both larceny and credit card fraud.

OLD LYME, CT - Police said a home health aide stole $2,000 from an Old Lyme Resident, as reported by The Day.

Heidi S. Crowley, 53, of Westbrook is accused of making withdrawals and cash-back transactions without the permission of a resident she was caring for, The Day reported. She has been charged with both larceny and credit card fraud.

The resident said Crowley had worked for her for about five years, and would perform such duties as grocery shopping, according to The Day. Police said only the resident and Crowley had access to the ATM card on which the transactions occurred.
