Hours Of Hamburg Recycling Center, Public Library In Town Of Lyme Increased

Effective today, September 1, 2020:

• The Hamburg Road Recycling Center will be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – in addition to the current Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – providing residents with seven-day-a-week recycling collection at either the Hamburg Recycling Center or the Brush Hill Transfer Station.
• The Lyme Public Library will extend its hours on Thursday nights from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to allow for its use by those unable to visit during daytime hours.

All other facility hours will remain unchanged and we anticipate that these new hours will last through year-end, barring any change in virus levels.

The full operating schedule of Town facilities as of Sep. 1 is:

• Town Hall – Open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Available by phone or email on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Public Library – Open on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On Wednesdays and Fridays, curbside pickup is available by contacting the library.
• Brush Hill Transfer Station – Open Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Recycling can be dropped off here all three days.
• Hamburg Recycling Center – Open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
