Investigation Leads To Narcotics Arrest In East Lyme: Police
East Lyme police have an ongoing narcotics and criminal activity investigation in the town's Pine Grove section.

EAST LYME, CT — A 28-year-old Niantic man was arrested by East Lyme police last week in connection with an ongoing narcotics and criminal activity investigation in the town's Pine Grove section, according to police officials.
Avery M. Hallbrooks, of High Street, was arrested as a result of the probe "after he was found in possession of numerous prescription pills and $210 cash," wrote East Lyme police in a post the department's Facebook page. The types of pills were not disclosed by police.
Hallbooks was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. He was released after posting a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Aug. 9.
