Lavish Lifestyle Exposed Of East Lyme Tax Cheat: Report
David Adams owned a 40-acre estate and luxury vehicles all while cheating the government of $4.7 million in back taxes, prosecutors say.

EAST LYME, CT — David Adams, the 57-year-old founder of the online floral company Flowers USA, owned a 40-acre estate, rented another high-end home Old Saybrook and owned multiple luxury vehicles all while cheating the government of $4.7 million in back taxes, writes The Day.
Adams' lavish lifestyle was outlined in federal documents obtained by the publication, and is now awaiting sentencing in connection with the six tax violations to which he pleaded guilty in October of last year.
His attorney is hoping for a sentence of 46 months in prison for his client, but Adams could face significantly more jail time, in part because he was accused of cheating the government out of taxes for nearly two decades.
