The school said students had spent a year preparing for the event.

PEARL HARBOR, HI - Lyme-Old Lyme High School students traveled to Hawaii to perform at a national Pearl Harbor 75th anniversary event Wednesday, Fox 61 reported.

Members of the Old Lyme-Lyme High School band and chorus performed on the pier of the USS Missouri, according to Fox 61. The school said the 100 Lyme-Old Lyme students had prepared for the event for a year.

The students were joined by students from other schools across the country, Fox 61 reported. The aim of the event was to honor both those who died in the attacks and the veterans who survived them.
