The Lymes Election 2016 Results: Winners Revealed in Local Races

Results are coming in for a number of electoral races across the board in Montville, both on a local and national scale.
On the ballot, registered voters in the Lymes were able to select candidates for president and vice president, United States senator, representatives to U.S. Congress, state senator, state representative and registrar of voters.
In East Lyme and Old Lyme, Republican candidate Paul M. Formica declared victory over Democratic candidate Ryan Henowitz in the race for 20th Senatorial District, as reported by the Norwich Bulletin. Formica has been Chairman of the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments, where he chaired the regional rail committee and served on the regional water committee.

In Lyme, Republican candidate Art Linares beat out Democratic candidate Norm Needleman and Green Party candidate Colin D. Bennett in the 33rd Senatorial District race, as reported by the Norwich Bulletin.
In the 37th State House District, Republican Holly H. Cheeseman won out over Democrat Beth Hogan, as reported by The Day. The seat had previously been held by Democrat Ed Jutila for the past 12 years, encompassing East Lyme and Salem.

In the 23rd State House District, Republican Devin R. Carney ran unopposed.
The registrar of voters in Old Lyme is between Democrat Marylin Clarke and Republican Catherine Quinn Carter. The registrar of voters in Lyme is between Democrat Dianne Ahlberg and Republican Jane C. Boyd.
