Man Arrested For Stealing From Town Of East Lyme: Police

A man has been charged with stealing more than $20,000 in equipment from the Town of East Lyme, according to police.

EAST LYME, CT — A man was arrested on charges that he stole a wood chipper and two landscaping trailers from the Town of East Lyme, according to police. William Harvey Patterson-Hatem, 22, of Hebron, was charged with third-degree criminal trespassing and larceny of property valued more than $20,000.

Police said the wood chipper and landscaping trailers were stolen "over a series of days" from the town's Field Services Building.

Patterson-Hatem was arrested Monday at 10:30 a.m. He was held on $50,000 cash bond and was scheduled for arraignment in New London Superior Court on Monday.
