Man Charged With Damaging East Lyme Police Officer's Lawn: Report

Police said an Old Lyme man is charged with damaging an East Lyme officer's lawn.

EAST LYME, CT - Police said an Old Lyme man is charged with damaging an East Lyme officer's lawn, the New London Day reported. His alleged reason for doing so was because he did not like the officer that lived there, police said.

Police said Terry Saffioti told officers he saw a red Dodge pickup back onto his lawn, then accelerate and spin its wheels on the grass, according to the New London Day. Police said the suspect, 54-year-old Scott Hall, caused about 10 feet of damage that would cost approximately $150 to repair, the New London Day reported. Officers obtained a warrant and arrested the suspect on September 6, police said.
