Man Convicted In Old Lyme Fatal Crash Case: Report

A man was convicted of misconduct with a motor vehicle in connection with a crash that killed a Norwich woman in 2016.

OLD LYME, CT — A man has been convicted in connection with a 2016 fatal crash on I-95 in Old Lyme, according to The Day. Nicolae Marcu, formerly of Bedford, NH, was convicted of misconduct with a motor vehicle.

Marcu's tractor-trailer struck Ashley Ferguson Jones, 31, a Norwich resident, who had stopped her car in the breakdown lane to check on her infant daughter. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
