A man fleeing police on a dirt bike allegedly posted a video of the incident on social media.

EAST LYME, CT — A Quaker Hill man was charged after he fled on a dirt bike from officers Wednesday night, according to police. Christopher Pond, 18, of Quaker Hill, was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, engaging police in pursuit, and operating without a license.

Police said they spotted Pond operating a dirt bike in an erratic manner on Flanders Road and in the Midway Plaza. He fled despite officers' numerous attempts to stop him via emergency lights and sirens.

As police worked to identify the dirt bike rider, an officer became aware of a TikTok account showing video taken by the bike's operator, The New London Day reported. That led police to identify Pond and charge him.
