Man Hospitalized After Truck V. Pedestrian Crash In Niantic

EAST LYME, CT — A man was hospitalized after being struck by a pickup truck Thursday afternoon, The New London Day reported. The crash occurred at 4:45 p.m. on Main Street near the intersection with Methodist Street.

The man was conscious and alert when he was transported to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.

The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and was fully cooperative.

The road was closed during the investigation and reopened at 7:15 p.m., according to The New London Day.
