Man Killed In Two-Car Crash In Old Lyme: State Police

The crash occurred on I-95 northbound on Saturday around 7:24 a.m., police said.

OLD LYME, CT — A 52-year-old man was killed on Interstate-95 in Old Lyme after a two-car crash occurred on Saturday morning near exit 70, according to the Connecticut State Police.

A 2003 Honda Accord, driven by Michael S. Sansur, 52, of Darien, was stopped in the left lane on I-95 northbound "for unknown reasons" around 7:24 a.m., police said, when a 2019 Kia Stinger driven by Almando Dixon, 26, of Oxford, struck the rear of the Accord.

Sansur was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital were he died from injuries sustained in the crash, police said.

A passenger in the Accord, Michael Alexander Sansur, 21, of Milford, was airlifted to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Dixon was taken to the Westbrook Shoreline Clinic for treatment of possible minor injuries, police said.
