Motorcycle Crash Sends Old Lyme Man To Hospital: Police

Police said an Old Lyme man was inured in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 395.

WATERFORD, CT - Police said an Old Lyme man was inured in a motorcycle crash Saturday morning on Interstate 395, the New London Day reported. Police said the man crashed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle on the interstate near the Exit 2 off-ramp.

Police said Joseph V. Kakos, 51, lost control of his motorcycle and veered onto the grass median, according to the New London Day. He then struck a metal beam guardrail, police said. Police said Kakos appeared to have suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Hartford Hospital, according to the New London Day. State police are continuing to investigate the situation.
