Motorcyclist Killed In East Lyme Crash With Car

​Motorcyclist Frank A Barabas, 42, of Montville was killed after a collision with a car Sunday on Boston Post Road in East Lyme.

EAST LYME, CT—A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car, East Lyme Police Chief Michael Finkelstein said. Just before 5 p.m., police got a report of a car versus motorcycle accident "with injuries" in the area near 516 Boston Post Road. Finkelstein said that when the East Lyme Police Department and Flanders Fire Dept responded to the scene, they discovered the driver of the motorcycle had died at the scene as a result of injures.

Frank A Barabas Jr., 42, of Montville was identified as the motorcyclist.

The driver of the car was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for observation, the chief said.

That area of Boston Post Road is closed while accident reconstructionists from the East Lyme and Waterford Police Departments investigate. Finkelstein said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded to the scene of the crash.
