New London Woman, 22, Charged With Narcotics Possession

EAST LYME, CT—A car stop on West Main Street led to the arrest of a 22-year-old for narcotics possession and intent to sell narcotics, according to an East Lyme Police news release.

Just before midnight on Saturday Aug. 24, police "conducting proactive motor vehicle enforcement," stopped a car for a unnamed violation. Police said Emma Watson, of 110 Ocean Ave., in New London was found to be in possession of "50 bags of a narcotic substance." Police said she was "inside the car," and it's not clear if she was driver or passenger.

Watson was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with the intent to sell. Watson posted a $5,000 bond and was released. A court date is set for Sept. 6 at GA 10 New London.
