New Principal Hired for Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School
A new principal has been appointed for Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School.

OLD LYME, CT - The Lyme-Old Lyme Schools announced Thursday the appointment of Mark Ambruso as the next Principal of Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School. He will begin his new position on July 1, according to a release.
Ambruso is currently serving as the Principal of Windham Technical High School. He will replace in his new position Michelle Dean, who also will begin a new position as Director of Curriculum on July 1. (To sign up for the Lymes breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
“We are pleased to welcome such an accomplished and seasoned administrator to our district," Superintendent Ian Neviaser said in a release. "Throughout the entire interview process, Mr. Ambruso impressed us with his innate leadership skills and his strong commitment to his students. This appointment will allow us to continue on the successful path that has been established at Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School.”

Ambruso has previously served as the both the Principal and, prior to that, the Assistant Principal at Bacon Academy in Colchester. He began his career in education at Norwich Free Academy as a science teacher and coach.
The district has also begun advertising for the position of Middle School Assistant Principal after Neil Sullivan announced his resignation, effective June 30, to embark on new professional challenges. High quality applicants are encouraged to apply online for this opening.
