EAST LYME, CT — A Niantic man was charged after his 3-year-old was found running down a road by himself with no adult in the area, according to police. Jason Fargo, 33, of 9 Black Point Road, was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a child.
Police received a call at 5:20 p.m. Sunday reporting that a toddler was running down Black Point Road without any adult supervision. A police officer found the toddler with good Samaritans who had stopped to help.
The officer recognized the toddler and knew that he stayed with his father on the weekends at a Black Point Road home. Police attempted to contact the father through an open front door but did not receive any response.
