Number Nook Open House

Stop by the Children's Room and play with the addictive math games at our brand new Number Nook!

The Old Lyme-Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library will host a Number Nook Open House in the Constance & William Pike Children’s Room on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 4:30-6:00PM. Stop by the William and Constance Pike Children’s Room where Ms. Michelle will show you all the amazing ways that numbers can rock your world. Experience our “math-ified” version of Go Fish, iPad Minis full of math apps that will have you completely hooked and more. Have a particular skill you’d like to practice? We’ll make sure the games you need are waiting for you! Just include the subject you’d like to learn more about in the “Subjects of Interest” field of our online reservation form. There might even be some edible math as a special treat! Registration is required. Visit us at oldlyme.lioninc.org, click “Children,” and then “Programs” to register or call the Library at (860) 434-1684. The Number Nook is generously brought to you by the Lyme-Old Lyme Education Foundation.

Need a ride? Send a note to your child’s homeroom teacher giving them permission to ride the After School Activity Bus (Bus “A” for students from Mile Creek and Bus “C” for students from Lyme Consolidated). An adult will greet children at the corner of Lyme Street and Library Lane and then escort them into the building for the program. Please be advised that the afterschool activity bus will stop at the Library on program days only and that all students must have a note in order to ride. Also, in addition to notifying the school, parents are required to call the Library directly at (860) 434-1684 if plans change the day of a program and your child is unable to ride the bus for any reason.
