Obituary: Brenda Carol Rein, 61, of East Lyme

Brenda Carol Rein, 61, passed away peace fully Friday night, January 27, 2017 in her home surrounded by her close family.

Brenda Carol Sistare was born on July 14th 1955 as the first of seven children to Brenda (Farmer) Powell and Peter Sistare. Brenda grew up in Saunders point with her childhood friends and siblings.

In 1973 Brenda graduated from East Lyme high school and soon after started her career at the Milestone Power Station. Brenda worked at Milestone for 39 years, where she made many lifelong friends. She met her soulmate John Rein and they have been married for 22 years.

She is survived by her husband, John Rein, her parents Brenda Powell and Peter Sistare; a daughter, Krystle and a stepdaughter, Jennifer; her siblings, Roberta, Darlene, Patrice, David, Peter and Paul; and three grandchildren, Viviana, Yanni and Brynn.Brenda's life was her family and her grandchildren. Brenda will be greatly missed.

The family will be holding a celebration of life at the Neilan Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic, on Thursday the 2nd of February from 5-7. The family asks that in Brenda's honor that those attending dress in bright happy colors and causal.
