Doris L. Paar, age, 91 , of Niantic, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Bride Brook Health and Rehab in Niantic, CT.
She was born on November 26, 1923 in Springfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Demers) Lantaigne.
Doris was predeceased by her husband, Charles N. Paar, whom she married on September 27, 1946 in San Diego, California.
She is also survived by two sons, Henry Paar of Niantic, CT., Thomas Paar of Arlington, VA.; two daughters, Carol Bergeron of Fairport, NY and Beverly Newburgh of Waterford, CT; two sisters, Aurore Kowil of Chicopee, MA.and Teresa Cocchi; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, (September 21st) at 11 AM at St. Agnes Church, 10 Haigh Avenue, Niantic. Interment will be private. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30-10:15 AM on Monday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic, CT.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Bride Brook for all the kindness that they extended to both Doris and her family.
