Obituary: Patrick Michael Tyrrell, 47, of Niantic

Patrick Michael Tyrrell, 47, of Gales Ferry, formerly of Niantic, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 14, 2016.

Patrick was born on August 24, 1969 in Pittsburgh, PA, the youngest son of the late William and Marian (Sally) (Schneider) Tyrrell. The family moved to Niantic when Patrick was young and he attended East Lyme schools, graduating from East Lyme High School in 1987. At the time of his passing, he was employed as dealer at the Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Besides his parents and grandparents, Thomas and Mary (Byrne) Tyrrell and Louis and Mary (Picard) Schneider, Patrick was predeceased by his sister-in-law, (Kim Sutton) Tyrrell.

He is survived by his sister, Karen (James) Graff of Pittsburgh, PA, his brother, Mark (Debra) of Pittsburgh, PA, his brother Richard of Lompoc, CA, his nephew, Andrew Tyrrell and nieces, Katie Tyrrell, Devan and Delany Graff , all of Pittsburgh. Patrick is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Saint Agnes Church, 22 Haigh Avenue, Niantic. Interment will be in East Lyme Cemetary, Flanders. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Patrick's name to Wings of Freedom Animal Rescue, Griswold, CT, St Vincent de Paul Place, Norwich, CT or a charity of the donor's choice.
