Old Lyme Infant Death Does Not Appear Criminal: State Police

OLD LYME, CT – State police announced this week that an infant's death was most likely non-criminal, The Day reported.

Police are still investigating the death of an infant at a Portland Avenue house last week, according to The Day. A state police spokesperson has said that, while the investigation is still ongoing, the death does not appear criminal in nature.

Detectives from the state police Central District Major Crime Squad will take over the case to rule out any such actions, according to The Day. The squad handles all deaths not witnessed by anyone.
