Old Lyme Infant’s Death Under Investigation by State Police

After an infant was pronounced dead over the weekend, state police detectives took over the investigation.

OLD LYME, CT – Police said an infant’s death in Old Lyme on Sunday is currently under investigation, The Day reported.

An unresponsive 6-month-old child was found at a Portland Avenue home close to 9:45 a.m., according to The Day. The infant was then taken to a medical clinic, and later pronounced dead.

A medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of the infant’s death, according to The Day. Detectives from the state police Central District Major Crime Squad have taken over the investigation.
