Old Lyme Looks to Join Ledge Light Health District

OLD LYME, CT- Town officials are working with Ledge Light Health District to explore the option of Old Lyme joining the district, The Day reported.

First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder is reportedly planning to request that the district consider accepting the town into its membership, according to The Day. This step does not signal that the town is committed to joining the district, rather that it is simply exploring the option.

The moves comes on the heels of Ledge Light’s director of health making a presentation to both the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen last week, as reported by The Day. A town meeting and a public hearing would be necessary, however, in order for the town to join.
