Police Conduct Drug Sweep at East Lyme High School

EAST LYME, CT - Police conducted a planned drug sweep in conjunction with school staff at East Lyme High School on Tuesday.
East Lyme police officers and K-9 units performed the sweep with the assistance of K-9 teams from Waterford, Montville, Groton, Madison, Westerly and state police, according to a release.

Police said one individual whose vehicle was parked on school property was arrested for possession of narcotics and possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana. The individual was not a student and was not attending any school events.
Anyone with drug-related information is asked to police immediately, or message the department on Facebook. Calls and messages can be anonymous.
