Police Investigating 2-Car Crash Of Stolen Vehicles
A middle-of-the-night crash involving two stolen cars and suspects that fled is being investigated by East Lyme, state and other police.

EAST LYME, CT—Just before 4 a.m., police were called to a report of a car-versus-tree crash with people running from the scene. But when officers arrived to the Dean Road accident location, they found it was actually a two-car crash. Both vehicles were empty and both were reported stolen.
According to East Lyme Police, a check of both vehicles determined that they had been stolen from two different shoreline communities. Police declined to name the two communities as the stolen vehicles cases are open investigations.
East Lyme police were joined by Connecticut State Police Troop F and a K9 track was done but no suspects were located. Police said there are visible patrols in the area.
