RI Man Sentenced For Murder Of Niantic Man: Report
A man has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally stabbing a Niantic man nearly 60 times, according to a report.
EAST LYME, CT — A Westerly, RI man has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally stabbing a Niantic man nearly 60 times in 2018, according to The New London Day. Nelson Dearce, 54, pleaded no contest to charges of second-degree murder and domestic assault with a dangerous weapon.
The case was related to a domestic incident at a Westerly home in January 2018. Dearce was accused of stabbing to death his ex-partner's new partner, Jeremy Lehmann, 50, of Niantic.
