Road Closed In Niantic For Water Main Repairs

EAST LYME, CT — East Lyme police posted the following notice from the public works department on Facebook regarding the closure of East Pattagansett Road planned for Wednesday morning:

"The East Lyme Water Department has an active water main leak at 108 East Pattagansett Rd in Niantic. We plan on closing East Pattagansett Rd on Wednesday March 16, 2022 starting at 9am between Bush Hill and Rt 161 to safely fix the break. We are hoping to have the road reopened if all goes well by tomorrow afternoon around 2pm. There will be signs located on the south end of East Pattagansett Rd at the intersection of Bush Hill and also at Hope St and on the north end at Rt 161 to alert drivers of the road closure.
