Road Paving In East Lyme Expected To Start This Week

Weather permitting.

EAST LYME, CT — Crews are expected to begin paving work in East Lyme this week, weather permitting, according to a post on the town's Public Safety division's Facebook page.

"Please do not park in the street during these days," officials wrote. "During the first part of the process, the road surface will be sealed with a layer of asphalt "chips," which is a mixture of liquid asphalt and stone. Once started the paving operation should take approximately 3 days to complete."

Among the roads slated to receive work include: Gada Road, King Arthur Drive, Cardinal Road, Herster Drive, Faulkner Road, and McElaney Drive.
