Samuel Smith Farmstead Hosts Revolutionary War Day In Lymes

Come experience life during our country’s fight for independence on Saturday, September 12th at East Lyme’s historic Samuel Smith Farmstead, 82 Plants Dam Road, from 10:00am – 3:00pm. The 5th Connecticut Regiment Continental Line will demonstrate Colonial activities such as weapon demonstrations and musket firing, army drills, food preservation, butter making. The Farmstead House and Barn are closed to visitors, but “Through the Window Tours” will be provided. Admission is free, donations greatly appreciated and all proceeds will fund needed repairs to this Historic House. Face masks/covering and Social Distancing Required. 12:00pm Nooning (soldiers’ lunch)
