Rene McLean, world renowned Multi-reed Instrumentalist (Alto, Tenor, Soprano, Flute,Ney,Shakuhachi), Composer, Band Leader, Educator, Producer. Son/Protégé of the late legendary alto saxophonist/educator Jackie Mclean. McLean maintains an active international performance,recording and teaching career. At present he is Professor of African American Music at the Jackie McLean Institute University of Hartford and Master Artist In-Residents at the Artists Collective .
