"Small Town Living"

One of the many reasons that I love living in this small town is that you alway's feel as though your among friends. Today we did what we do every Columbus Day..We spent it In Town. We visited Ms. Terry and some of the Veggie Girls's at Smith's Acres to paint pumpkins & enjoy snacks w friends. I love going there because it's family owned and you will alway's be welcomed with a smile, they also have so many great things to offer for the kiddos. Be sure to check out their website or Facebook page to see what they have planned. If your free this Saturday head over for their 2nd Annual Beer For Beauty Event from 7-9.

Another great place to visit is The Book Barn. You can spend hours going through "The Little Book Village" as my children call it. Playing with the enormous chess set...It never seems to get old and by next week they should have all of their Halloween props out...If your planning a visit to the Book Barn this month? Between Saturday (the 19th) and Wednesday (the 30th) you can help judge their second annual staff pumpkin decorating contest. Pick your favorite and the winner will be announced on Halloween. Additionally, customers who visit The Book Barn during the last week of October in costume can receive candy! LOL, my children specifically asked to go back in costume:)

We wrapped up our day with Cloudy with a chance of meatballs movie downtown and a visit to Peachwave. So many wonderful things to do locally and when I asked my children "What was the best part of your day" the response was "All of It" and "seeing Ms. Carolyn" whom happens to be a Smith's Acres Veggie Girl and one of my sons first teacher's. At some point if you live in this town you will make a lasting relationship if not many that will follow you even if your paths take you in different directions. Just one more great thing about "Small Town Living"
