Thieves Try To Steal Huge Appliance From East Lyme Home: PD
The attempted theft occurred on Thursday night.

EAST LYME, CT — Thieves tried to steal a "large six burner range" from a home on Willow Lane in East Lyme Thursday night but were thwarted by an alert neighbor, according to post on the East Lyme police Facebook page.
The attempted theft occurred at about 9 p.m. at a house that is currently unoccupied. The suspects broke into the home by forcing open a rear side door off the garage.
"An alert neighbor scared off the burglars before their larcenous act was completed," wrote East Lyme police. "A witness reported seeing a dark colored low pickup truck exit the driveway heading toward Dean Road."
