Two Lyme-Area High Schools Earn 'Top School' Designation

Newsweek's top 500 high schools in America list is out and two Lyme-area schools made the list!

East Lyme High School earned the 228th spot and Lyme-Old Lyme High School ranked in at 352, WFSB reports.

In total, 13 Connecticut schools made the list. Visit the Newsweek website for the full list of the top 500 high schools in the United States.

This year, our methodology is more stringent than ever with new measures of quality and a higher standard for data. A next to a school’s name means that low-income students are scoring at or above average on state assessments. This is our way of recognizing schools that narrow the achievement gap.
