Vehicle Ends Up In Essex Pond After Crash: CT State Police
The two-vehicle crash occurred Monday morning, Jan. 1.

ESSEX, CT — A vehicle ended up in a pond north of Fordham Road in Essex Monday morning after it was rear-ended, according to Connecticut State Police. No injuries were reported in the two-vehicle crash.
The incident occurred at about 10:15 a.m. with two vehicles traveling north on Route 154. William J. Visgilio, 20, of Old Lyme, was slowing down to make a right turn onto Fordham Road when his Volvo XC60 was rear-ended by a Toyota Sienna driven by August N. Cummins, 19, also of Old Lyme.
Visgilio's vehicle came to rest in the pond, and both vehicles were heavily damaged, according to state police. Whether charges are pending was not disclosed.
