Veteran Old Lyme Officer's Suspension Upheld by Board of Selectmen

A state police investigation helped the town make its decision.

OLD LYME, CT - The Board of Selectmen decided Monday to uphold the unpaid suspension of a long time Old Lyme officer, The Day reported.

The unpaid suspension was imposed on Officer Sal Milardo by First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder in October, according to The Day. A state police investigation helped the town make its decision to suspend the suspect.

The suspension came after the officer allegedly asked a resident to fabricate a complaint against the town’s resident state trooper, The Day reported. He allegedly had asked the resident about filing the complaint in October 2015.
