Veteran Old Lyme Police Officer Faces Five-Day Suspension

The suspension stems from an incident in October 2015.

OLD LYME, CT – A veteran officer with the Old Lyme Police Department is facing an unpaid five-day suspension, The Day reported.

The suspension comes after Officer Sal Milardo allegedly asked a resident to fabricate a complaint against the town’s resident state trooper, The Day reported. He allegedly had asked the resident about filing the complaint in October 2015.

The resident allegedly told state police that he refused to file the complaint because it was untrue, according to The Day. The resident claimed Milardo had helped the resident in the past with a state Department of Children and Families case in the past.
