OLD LYME, CT – A veteran officer with the Old Lyme Police Department is <a href="http://www.theday.com/policefirecourts/20161020/longtime-old-lyme-police-officer-facing-five-day-suspension" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">facing an unpaid five-day suspension</a>, The Day reported.  The suspension comes after Officer Sal Milardo allegedly <a href="http://www.theday.com/policefirecourts/20161020/longtime-old-lyme-police-officer-facing-five-day-suspension" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">asked a resident to fabricate a complaint</a> against the town's resident state trooper, The Day reported. He allegedly had asked the resident about filing the complaint in October 2015.  The resident allegedly told state police <a href="http://www.theday.com/policefirecourts/20161020/longtime-old-lyme-police-officer-facing-five-day-suspension" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">that he refused to file the complaint</a> because it was untrue, according to The Day.
