Woman Charged In Theft Of $2K Worth Of Wire In East Lyme: Police
A store employee attempted to hold onto the suspects' vehicle as it fled, according to police.
EAST LYME, CT — A woman was arrested and police are searching for a second suspect in a theft from an East Lyme business. Two women exited a Flanders Road store with wire valued at $2,000 on Jan. 5, according to police.
A store employee confronted the women as they entered a vehicle in the parking lot. With the rear door open, the employee attempted to hold onto the vehicle as it fled.
One of the women in the car began to kick the employee as he held onto the vehicle. The employee then let go of the vehicle as it left the parking lot.

The two women suspected in this case are also implicated in a similar theft from another shoreline community earlier that day.
Amanda Williams, 37, of Bozrah, was charged with fourth-degree larceny, third-degree robbery, second-degree breach of peace, class D felony conspiracy, and misdemeanor conspiracy. Her bond was set at $5,000 and she was scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Wednesday.
