Woman Kicks Out Cruiser Window After Slipping Out Of Handcuffs: East Lyme Police

East Lyme police said two people were arrested after one of the suspects kicked out a cruiser​ window and the other yelled at officers.

EAST LYME, CT - East Lyme police said two people were arrested early Tuesday after one of the suspects kicked out the window of a cruiser, the New London Day reported. The other suspect allegedly yelled “Sieg Heil” in officers' faces, police said.

Police said the suspects were stopped around 1 a.m. due to their taillights not being illuminated, according to the New London Day. Officers subsequently determined the driver of the car, 27-year-old Kathryn Schmitt of Niantic, to be intoxicated and placed her under arrest. Police said the suspect then slipped out of her handcuffs and kicked out a cruiser window, the New London Day reported. Schmitt's car passenger, 21-year-old Nicholas Aaron Alberini of Woodstock, also repeatedly got in officers' way at this time, yelling “Sieg Heil” at them before being placed under arrest as well.
