UPDATE: Women's Correctional Employee Arrested on Sexual Misconduct Charges
A third employee at York Correctional Facility in Niantic was arrested on a sexual assault charge.

The Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Unit conducted a three month criminal investigation regarding allegations of sexual misconduct by employees of the York Women’s Correctional Facility in Niantic.
An arrest warrant application was submitted to New London Superior Court for the arrest of Kareem Dawson, 34. The arrest warrant was issued by the court and Dawson turned himself in to Troop E in Montville on Tuesday, June 30.

The First and Second Arrest in the Case
On February 5, 2015, at approximately 1 p.m., the accused, Jeff Bromley, turned himself into State Police at Troop E Barracks in Montville.

Bromley was processed and was released on $15,000 court-set bond. He was scheduled for an arraignment in New London Superior Court in February.

On April 3, a second arrest was made in this case:
- ACCUSED: Matt Gillette, 44, of Groton
- CHARGES: Sexual Assault 2nd degree
- COURT: New London Superior Court, 04/17/2015
- BOND: $15,000.00
State police, the Dept. of Correction Intelligence Unit and the State Police Detectives assisted in the investigation.
