1 Taken To Trauma Center After Tolland Crash

TOLLAND, CT — A two-car crash near the Exit 69 Interstate-84 interchange with Tolland Stage Road led to a person being taken to an area hospital, authorities said.

The crash was reported just after noon.

Life Star helicopter was initially called to the scene for one of those involved but later called off. One person was taken by ambulance to a regional trauma center, fire officials said.

Route 74 was closed until 2 p.m. by the Exit 69 eastbound off ramp while investigators worked at the scene.

Three others were being evaluated at the scene with ambulances standing by, fire officials said.

There was no immediate word on the extent of the injuries.
