115 MPH Stop On I-84 Leads To Theft Investigation: Cops
A 115 MPH stop on I-84 has ed to a theft investigation, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — A man with a Norwalk address was caught with thousands of dollars worth of suspected stolen merchandise in his vehicle after being clocked at 115 mph in a car along a stretch of Interstate-84 in Tolland, according to a state police report.
At about 9 p.m. on Saturday, a trooper clocked a car at 115 mph as he was stationed near Exit 68 on the Westbound side of I-84, according to a report. He quickly stopped the car, which was uninsured and had a "misused" plate, according to a report. The driver was identified as 26-year-old Jesse Rivera, who authorities said presented New York identification but who has a Norwalk address listed in a state police report.
State police said they found about $7,500 worth of suspected stolen merchandise in the car and an ongoing investigation could lead to theft charges, according to a report.

Rivera was charged with reckless driving in addition to several motor vehicle violations, according to a report. He posted a $10,000 bond and is expected in court on Feb. 5, according to a report.
