2 Crashes Keep Emergency Crews Busy In Tolland Thursday

Crashes kept Tolland emergency responders busy on Thursday morning into the early afternoon.

TOLLAND, CT — A pair of crashes kept Tolland emergency responders busy on Thursday morning into the early afternoon.

At 12:35 p.m., crews responded to the 200 block of Kate Lane for a reported motorcycle accident.

One person wound up being transported to an area hospital and state police remained at the scene for a short while, until a wrecker arrived, officials said.

At about 10:30 a.m., two vehicles collided on Interstate-84 eastbound in a crash that also involved a deer that darted across the highway, fire officials said.

The occupants were evaluated at the scene and refused transport, according to fire officials. The scene was cleared in about an hour.
